Kirin McCrory is an amalgamation.

It’s true of the mythological Kirin——a hooved chimera whose appearance portends a transition between sages—and it’s true of me.

Who is Kirin?

I’m a polymath creative who excels at interdisciplinary or cross-functional communication and collaboration. I have a BA in Theatre Studies & English from Emerson College, and an MFA in Creative Writing & Writing for the Performing Arts from UC Riverside. Professionally, I’ve been a performer, a fight choreographer, a playwright, a literary manager, a dramaturg, a college professor, a video editor, and a copywriter.

I grew up primarily in central Virginia and lived in Boston, New York City, and Los Angeles before settling down in Madison, WI. I’m married to my main creative partner, the love of my life, and my best friend, and we both take too many photos of our dog, Bear Von Jena AKA Nugget, the weirdest, prettiest rescue you ever did see.
